This place has a reputation! If you mention you're going to Paris, chances are slim you'll get recommended the Louvre, or Notre-Dame, or the Eiffel Tower. In my experience, ninety-nine times out of a hundred, you'll be told to go to L'As du Fallafel. Apparently, the lines are long. Apparently, the falafel is incredible. Apparently, it's a cultural icon.

I wish the line was longer. I wish I had to struggle more for my falafel. But the line was quick, and the people were friendly, and the falafel was unoffensive. At L'As du Falafel, I reached neither the highs nor the lows of human experience. Some things are only gritty on the outside. But now I can say that I've been. Now I can say that I've taken a bite out of the middle of the France-Falafel venn diagram. Five stars.
